We had excellent service here. Great beers, really good food too. We enjoyed the beer garden in the sun too.

Lovely pub with warm, friendly service. Visited here for breakfast and Sunday lunch during a trip to Pembrokeshire. We were very pleased with the amount of gluten free options available as my partner is coeliac - she was blown away by how delicious the food was! Highly recommend and we will revisit! Thank you.

Had a really great meal at the Castle last night. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be calling in again

I feel like royalty when I eat at 'The Castle'. They always remember me & my family. The service and food is brilliant, especially the chocolate brownie! I haven't found one as good anywhere else! I would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Historic Inn with food and well kept real ale. Excellent service. Outdoor seating available at rear of building. We just went in for a pint after a walk but the sunday lunches looked sensational. Advise booking if you intend to eat there.

Had a meal in the bar last night, I’m sorry we didn’t book it for both nights of our stay in Newport. From the second we walked through the door the welcome and service was incredible. Genuinely not had service like this in years credit to the 2 gents behind the bar. Lovely setting and food and a bonus that the bar is dog friendly. We have found our new favourite in this area

After a dip at Cwm Yr Eglws we dropped into the Castle Inn for refreshment. We received an extremely warm welcome and tasted some delicious Welsh cider. My dog was thoroughly welcomed too. Finding the old beer barrell full of water for dogs in the garden was a first for me. A really nice touch.

Absolutely lovely pub, really tasty food, friendly staff, especially barman Tim. Staff like that really make a difference in small, local places like this and cannot be valued highly enough. Would highly recommend.
